Umbrella plant/Planta sombrilla
Measures: 16.5x23.5 inches or 42x59 cm.
Materials: Watercolour 80% and water mixable oil 20%, on 160gsm acid-free cartridge paper.
I encountered the Umbrella plant in England. I have one at home, in front of a window. It loves existing in that place. I know because since I put it there its beauty has only increased. It is this Umbrella plant which appears in the painting planted in a flowerpot.
The yellow color in the painting represents the sun when it appears in the window.
If you look closely at the painting you will see a ladybird which in real life lived in the plant for a few days and then left.
Below the window are beautiful handmade Mexican red tiles.
Some leaves have fallen from the Umbrella and are lying on the ground, dry.

Conocí la planta Sombrilla en Inglaterra, tengo una en casa, frente a una ventana, le encanta quedarse en ese lugar, lo sé porque desde que la coloqué allí su belleza solo ha aumentado, es precisamente esta planta quien aparece en la pintura plantada en una macetera.
El amarillo en la pintura representa el sol cuando aparece en la ventana.
Si miras de cerca verás a una catarina quien en la vida real vivió unos días en la planta y luego se fue.
Debajo de la ventana hay hermosos azulejos rojos mexicanos hechos a mano.
Algunas hojas se han caído de la planta, están en el suelo, secas.
